XML: Parser
Creating an XML parser that works like StaX out of a FSM that can process partial chunks of the document as it asynchronously arrives is kinda hard. Especially when you are trying to do it without any heap activity..

Bob Parsons on how to go broke
Don’t let crowded markets frighten you.
I’ve heard people say that I love this idea, but this particular business is already crowded. In response to that I say there is always room in any industry or business for someone who truly makes a difference. And I can tell you that someone who loves what they are doing often makes a wonderful difference. People who make a difference tend to stand out from the crowd and they are the ones who survive shakeouts.
When you love something
My father used to tell me When you love something, it tells you all its secrets
. There is so much truth to this statement. It’s the accumulation and use of all those big and little secrets that separate the great companies from all the also-rans. People who are in it just for the money never learn any of the secrets.

Bad taste?
I just realised that my CD collection in not in fact proof of my ecelectic taste, rather it is proof of an undeveloped taste.

White Light LEDs
Wowser.
Amazing what accidental discoveries bring about. You should really check out the article. I tell you, these would of come in handy in our reading light we attempted to make at Massey.
The real breakthrough will come in the ways designers can start to rethink how illumination is used in our physical environment.

Check it out
Check out trivium a group weblog I’ve set up. Not really active at the moment, but as more people get invited it should be good.
P.S. If you know me, email or talk to me to get invited.
P.P.S. It’s not nearly so metrosexual in design.

My website is boring
and lifeless,
and empty,
and so utterly lonely,
blue peas and pink lions can never make up for that.

Didn’t Really Happen
I’m sure I’ll write more on this later.
Yeah, right.
Plus there was a spelling error for over 100 days.

For the clamoring crowd…
I’m sorry but my life hasn’t gone all that digital.
- I (only) own a film camera
- The majority of what I read is printed on paper
- And I don’t have too much to say (yet) to random strangers.
i.e. there is no content on this website.
(Oh, but you can comment…)

Coming Soon
A couple of weeks back I moved to Auckland to study Product Development at Masey University in Albany. I’m sure I’ll write more on this later.
So now I am living in Newmarket/Mt Eden in a Baptist hostel. I’ll probably write more on that as well.
Anyway, the point is that I haven’t really had time to set anything up website wise.
Oh well.
